Shimbun - Graphic Novel on Civil Rights Leader Sei Fujii

“Shimbun” is a graphic novel on Civil Rights Leader Sei Fujii 100-page graphic novel inspired by the civil rights journey of Sei Fujii and his unexpected pairing with Black Attorney Hugh Macbeth. Tracks the untold narrative of the California Race Relations Commission and Fujii’s role as a leader within his community before and after WWII. Much of the content is based on the ongoing research with the Little Tokyo Historical Society and elements discovered in the publication of “A Rebel’s Outcry”. Illustrated by Takashi Uchida and Written by Jeffrey Gee Chin.
